 | School Board to Meet
The next regularly
scheduled meeting of the FWCS Board of School Trustees will be held at 6 p.m. on
Monday, February 22, 2010 in the Board Room
of the Grile Administrative Center, 1200 S. Clinton St.
Public comment is welcome. If you wish to address Board
members, you must sign up prior to the beginning of the meeting between 5:30-6 p.m.
Comments are limited to five minutes.
Board meetings may be seen live on LTV, Comcast channel 54 or Verizon channel 24,
and are re-broadcast at 7 p.m. on Thursdays and 6 p.m. on Mondays.

Washington Center
fourth-graders get up
and get active
| Fourth-grade students will
participate in the annual
Washington Center Game Night
beginning at 6:30 p.m. in
the Washington Center
gymnasium. Students may
invite one special adult to
attend with them to "get
up and get active."
Many entertaining games and
activities have been planned
to show how fun and easy it
can be to get moving. All
participants should dress
casually and wear gym shoes
if possible. Refreshments
will be served after the
games.

Franke Park students
bring home books
| Students from Franke Park
Elementary will be
participating in a Family
Literacy Backpack Project.
Students will select a
themed backpack with books
at different reading levels
to take home for 10 days.
The students and their
families will receive
resources to build
background knowledge about
the book subjects. The
backpacks have been made
possible through grants from
Dollar General, The Literacy
Foundation, Target Literacy
Foundation and Buddy
Technology and Learning
Center.
