North Side dance classes for kids begins today

The North Side High School choreography students are offering Jazz classes for children ages 4-8 years old, Tap classes for children ages 8-11 years old and still in elementary school and a variety class (Jazz, Tap and Contemporary Combo) for middle school students. The weekly program is held on from 4:30-5:30 p.m. Tuesdays for 12 weeks beginning Sept. 18, and ending Dec. 4. Participants will be eligible to perform in the annual Winter Dance Show at 7:30 p.m. Dec. 5. Dance-Kids Jazz will be introduced to both Jazz and Tap skills but will only perform a Jazz piece in the show. Participants do not need tap shoes. Dance-Kids Tap will continue learning Jazz skills as well as be introduced to Tap. Participants will need Tap Shoes. The cost to participate is $25 with registration due no later than Sept. 14.
