Teacher Job Fairs
Job Fairs 1 and 2
- Job Fair 1 & 2 - are open only to FWCS regular contracted teachers who want to transfer and/or surplus teachers seeking positions. Teachers may increase their FTE.
Job Fair Process
- All known openings for the district are posted at one time.
- Candidates fill out the online certified application and apply for positions online.
- Principals select those to be interviewed.
- All interviews are then held at the Job Fairs on a common date at a common site as per schedule.
- ONLY THOSE SELECTED BY PRINCIPALS FOR INTERVIEWS ATTEND THE JOB FAIR.
- Recommendation for hire will be made by the unit head.
Steps to follow
- Applicants who can apply during Job Fair 1 & Job Fair 2 (combined):
- Job Fair #1 & Job Fair #2 (combined): Regular FWCS Contract Teachers including surplus teachers
- Review the Schedule which lists the valid dates for this year's Job Fairs.
- Review Job Positions as per posting dates.
- Meet job requirements and criteria for posted teaching vacancy.
- Be available for contact regarding notification of selection for interview at Job Fairs.
Important Notes:
- All teaching positions listed are full-time postions (1.0) unless otherwise noted.
- All teaching postions listed require appropriate teacher licensure.
- THOSE NOT CONTACTED PRIOR TO THE JOB FAIRS SHOULD ASSUME THEY WERE NOT SELECTED FOR INTERVIEW.
- All FWCS teachers accepting a voluntary transfer may not seek or accept more than two voluntary transfers
for the same school year.
