Bunche Montessori Early Childhood Center will have a spirit week to raise money for Riley Children’s Foundation. The school’s goal is to raise $250 to be a Red Wagon School. Each day students can pay $1 to participate. The week starts with pajama day.

Harris Elementary kindergarten students will participate in a 6-week, 30-minute swim lesson series at the Helen P. Brown Natatorium.

The Bunche-Towles PTA is hosting a skating night at Bell’s Skating in New Haven from 5:30-7:30 p.m. The theme is Crazy Hair and Hat Night. The cost is $3 to skate and $1 for skate rental. The classroom from each school with the most students in attendance will receive a prize.

Indian Village Special Education students will learn about the different types of food and how they are stored, job requirements of working in a grocery store and money management when they visit Kroger Marketplace at 9:15 a.m. Students will also have an opportunity to stock food.

Weisser Park fifth-grade students will present their wax museum to parents and younger students at 11 a.m. All fifth-grade students will be portraying  famous African-Americans.

Indian Village Elementary special education students will visit McMillen Health Center at 9:15 a.m. to learn about general health, such as dental care, hand washing, nutrition, safety, sleeping and eating.

Bunche students will welcome their grandparents for Grandparents Day from 9:45-10:45 a.m. They will show their grandparents how they work at school.

Bunche Montessori students will participate in the spring music program at 6 p.m. at Snider High School. The program will celebrate Africa, which has been a focus of study all year for the students.

Volunteers will visit Whitney Young Early Childhood Center for JA in a Day beginning at 8:30 a.m.

Bunche students will participate in field day from 8:30-10:15 a.m.

Fri22

Bunche Montessori Early Childhood Center and Towles Intermediate School students will participate in Transition Day, allowing students to meet their teachers and see the classrooms they will be in next year. Kindergarten students from Bunche will visit Towles from 9:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. During that, Towles third-graders will visit the 9-12 cluster (fourth and fifth grades) they will be in next year, and fifth-graders will visit Towles New Tech where they will move for sixth-grade.

Bunche will celebrate a great school year at Bunche Blast from 12:15-2 p.m.

Towles New Tech students will have field day, participating in outdoor and team-building activities.

Towles students in grades 1-5 will celebrate the last day of school with a field day. The 9-12 cluster (fourth and fifth grades) will participate in activities in the morning, with the 6-9 cluster (first-third grades) participating in the afternoon.
