Burmese Delegation Visits Schools
Representatives from the Burmese Delegation for Education will visit three schools on Tuesday, Oct. 2.
During their stay in the U.S., the delegation is visiting Washington, D.C., Indianapolis and other locations exploring, primarily, post-secondary education institutions. Fort Wayne was included on the trip as the city is home to a large Burmese population.
Dr. Zaw Myint, a Director General for the Myanmar Ministry of Education, additional representatives of the Ministry and representatives from their U.S. Sponsoring Organization, Burmese American Community Institute, will visit three schools: Bunche Montessori Early Childhood Center, Bill C. Anthis Center (Continuing Education and the FWCS Career Academy) and New Tech Academy at Wayne High School. Following the visits, a reception will be held at the FWCS Family and Community Engagement Center.
